Web Development Coding camp for 10 girls in 4th - 6th Grade
Take a glimpse into our 2024 fall STEM Tour, where we focus on building sustainable STEM villages through girls coding, women leadership development and intercultural exchange learning.
We launch our fall programs with a Webgyrlz Code camp designed for USA girls in grades 4 through 6. Throughout this full-day camp, we empower our South Carolina girl residents by providing them with a solid foundation in computer programming languages for website development, while also enhancing their social-emotional learning skills. This includes equipping them to manage peer pressure, develop critical thinking, and tackle challenges they face in school and their communities.
Shambi Broome , the trainer and visionary behind Webgyrlz Code, is not new to our mentoring network. She serves as a role model and source of inspiration as the lead web developer and social media manager at JMB Designs, LLC, a web development firm.
We would love to offer more girls this opportunity but due to limited funding, only 10 spots are available!. Guardians must register participants for this camp. Seating is on a first come basis. Show up on time, learn more about careers in web development, and learn how to solve challenges with web design and computer programming.
Absolutely! We want to make sure our girls are fed. Lunch and snacks will be available, and naturally, no InspireHER STEM girls code camp would be complete without coding a Dance Party!
This camp is FREE and will run from 10am – 4pm on November 9th. We guarantee a delightful experience filled with fun and numerous lessons to reflect on and carry home. Location details will be texted and emailed to confirmed registrants.
What is covered for this full day web development camp? Everything including laptops to use during the camp! Thanks to our partners and sponsors, participants will receive and take home:
- A USB drive containing the software needed to create the website.
Instruction manual. This take-home guide serves as a reminder of the lessons learned in class and provides resources for continued coding at home.

The girls will keep a USB drive along with their new website and manual, allowing them to code at home and become leaders in their community by teaching others, including boys, how to code.
Registration will close by October 30 or earlier once maximum sign up limit of 10 is reached.
