InspireHER

Leveraging Engineering Design in the Classroom

Founded in 2016 in partnership with Amazing Grace Center Kenya, InspireHER STEM brings coding clubs, hands-on STEM programming, teacher training, career mentorship, menstrual health education and intercultural exchange to Vihiga, Kenya, Matagalpa Nicaragua and Columbia, South Carolina. One of its newest initiatives, SheBuilds 3D Club, introduces students and educators to 3D modeling, immersive 3D career exploration, engineering design, and industry-standard Computer Aided Design tools like SelfCAD.

Through dynamic lessons that pair conceptual learning with immediate application, SheBuilds 3D Club allows students to visualize and build their own 3D designs and explore careers through virtual reality simulations. Beyond technical skills, the club builds confidence and exposes students to career pathways in engineering, design, and technology. Collaborative projects, cultural exchange trips and mentorship, give learners a clear view of real-world uses for their new skills.

The club kicked off in February 2026 through a series of mentoring workshops at Richland Library and 4-H Club to train club facilitators and mentors while empowering teachers with rigorous experience in bringing 3D modeling and Computer Aided Design to their classrooms

Teacher Training

SheBuilds 3D Club is a mobile lab that is more than a skills program. It’s a leap forward to global problem solving, curiosity, creativity, and career readiness. As more teachers and students complete the workshops and earn industry standard certificates, the initiative will continue to expand its reach and deepen its rural impact that prepares a new generation to design, build, and lead in a tech-driven world.

Partner with us to make STEM more accessible to girls.

Sessions are hybrid and facilitated in Columbia, SC and surrounding areas.
